Overview

WHO are we looking for?

 

CAPTRUST is offering a paid internship/co-op program in our Boston, MA office that will provide exposure to the inner workings of a wealth management firm. This position will be trained in different aspects of financial planning and wealth management, accounting, trust and tax. Hands-on learning starts day one in this fast-paced environment. As an intern/co-op, you will serve in a support role to multiple client relationship managers who are responsible for maintaining and growing long-term client relationships. There are both full-time and part-time positions available and the program will run between January and May. Primary responsibilities may include the following, among others:

Responsibilities

  • Supporting senior level advisors in all aspects of relationship management
  • Preparing trust, foundation, and individual income tax returns
  • Preparing and processing client cash activity and bills
  • Preparing client net worth and cash flow statements

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Actively pursuing four-year college degree in Accounting and/or Finance with one-previous co-op experience

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

  • Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks effectively; excellent attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving: Strong analytical thinking with proven problem-solving capabilities.
  • Multitasking: Comfortable managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong listening abilities.
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Excel and other relevant tools.
  • Attitude & Growth: Positive, “can-do” mindset; eagerness to learn and take on increasing responsibilities.
