Overview

WHO are we looking for?

 

CAPTRUST is seeking an Institutional Client Service Intern in our Phoenix, AZ office to join our Institutional Client Management Team to provide client and prospect support. The position will provide exposure to the inner-workings of a firm with diversified practice lines including institutional advisory, private wealth management, and a robust tax practice. Hands-on learning starts day one in this fast-paced environment. This position will be trained on different aspects of institutional advisory and investment consulting. The intern will also be trained on specific software used throughout the firm. Responsibilities include, assisting with client service, meeting preparation, data maintenance, investment monitoring, and administrative tasks.

 

CAPTRUST interns must maintain professional and ethical standards, be well organized, service oriented, and capable of performing under tight deadlines. Obtaining course credit may also be possible, depending on the student’s program approval. Hours will be flexible based on school schedule. Completion of an internship may lead to, but does not guarantee, future full-time employment. Apply today. Primary responsibilities may include the following, among others:

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with financial advisors, client service, and peers on the Client Management Team
  • Assist performance reporting team in the preparation and review of quarterly performance reports
  • Assist in the preparation and review of fee and expense benchmarking analysis and reports
  • Contribute to new research, project initiatives, and ad hoc projects within required deadlines
  • Attending client investment committee meetings to observe (upon invitation from advisor)
  • Attending Participant Advice sessions with our plan advisors to observe participant meetings

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Actively pursuing Undergraduate/Graduate degree; rising Junior or Senior
  • All School of Business Majors (Accounting, Finance, Economics, Financial planning, or Taxation preferred) 
  • Significant interest in the workings of investment advisory firm

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

  • Strong critical thinker who is a strong self-starter
  • High-level proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Organized, detail-oriented and able to multitask with proven ability to plan and achieve results
  • Demonstrate highest personal ethics and integrity
  • Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality of information
  • Team player, collaborative, able to work with and through others
